The village of Muttontown, NY lies within the town of Oyster Bay on the North Shore of Long Island, about 31 miles east of Manhattan. The Nassau County village is bordered by East NorwichJerichoGreenvale and Woodbury. Muttontown residents enjoy wide open spaces and acres of land untouched by developers. In addition to its luxury homes and wooded acres, Muttontown is just a short drive away from the Long Island Sound beaches and parks that line the North Shore. 

The Muttontown Preserve is Nassau County's largest natural area, covering 550 acres of woodlands and former estate grounds. Within the preserve is a nature center that hosts activities like bird watching. The Chelsea Mansion the former Benjamin Moore estate and home is also within the Muttontown Preserve. You can get your fashion fix at nearby Broadway Mall or further afield at Roosevelt Field mall, and many excellent cultural and dining options can be found in the nearby towns of HicksvilleWestburyand Greenvale. The Long Island Expressway lies just a few miles to the south, making commuting by car easy. The nearest Long Island Rail Road station is in Syosset.
